About the Organization : Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) is a US-based international humanitarian and development organization. Its Pakistan Country Office implements and oversees diverse projects in health, education, livelihoods, and social protection.
About the Project : The Community Eye Care Project – Pakistan 2025 aims to reduce avoidable vision impairment and blindness among marginalized populations by organizing 10 free eye camps in underserved districts, providing screenings, prescription glasses, cataract surgeries, medicines, and awareness on eye health.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Coordination & Supervision The Project Officer will serve as the focal person for the Community Eye Care Project, with responsibility for supervision, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Specific duties include :
- Act as focal point between ZFA, partner service providers, district administrations, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics of 10 planned eye camps in targeted districts.
- Monitor partner implementation of screening, surgeries, distribution of glasses and medicines, and awareness activities.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, standards, and ZFA guidelines.
- Monitoring & Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular field visits to eye camps to oversee activities and verify beneficiary data.
- Monitor the distribution of glasses, medicines, and IEC materials for accuracy and transparency.
- Ensure quality control in pre-surgery screenings, surgical interventions, and follow-up procedures.
- Identify and report implementation gaps, risks, or irregularities; recommend corrective measures.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate beneficiary records, activity logs, and documentation from partners.
- Compile, analyze, and validate data on screenings, treatments, surgeries, and awareness outcomes.
- Prepare camp-wise progress notes, monthly progress reports, and the final project report for ZFA HQ.
- Document lessons learned, case studies, and best practices for organizational knowledge.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with local health departments, community leaders, and district administrations for approvals and facilitation.
- Coordinate with hospitals and referral facilities to ensure continuity of care for surgical patients.
- Represent ZFA in meetings, reviews, and stakeholder consultations related to the project.
- Work closely with the Finance & Accounts team to verify partner invoices, expenditures, and supporting documents.
- Ensure adherence to ZFA’s financial and procurement policies in all project-related expenses.
- Maintain proper filing and archiving of program and financial documents.
- Monitoring & Evaluation Support
- Guide the partner’s M&E team in conducting baseline, midline, and endline surveys.
- Collect beneficiary feedback and contribute to beneficiary satisfaction assessments.
Candidate holding Ophthalmic Technician Diploma with previous experience in eye camps will be preferred for the post.
Qualifications
Max age limit is 45 on to apply for this job.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.Education : Matric with Diploma in Radiography.
