Location
Flexibility in location is expected, as our senior project managers may be based in any province of Pakistan (Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK or Islamabad) depending on capacity needs.
How will you make an impact?
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing Acasus workstreams and stakeholders across a number of provinces in Pakistan. You will be a coach for the team's project managers, as well as a trusted advisor for stakeholders. The position requires you to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop strategies; set overall direction and priorities.
- Coach and support senior leaders and team members with problem-solving and effective implementation.
- Lead team problem-solving, effectively leveraging the perspectives of multiple people to solve problems.
- Lead the team to design and implement new systems, and improve existing ones to improve project outcomes.
- Lead the team to identify and understand issues; break down problems and identify root causes; use data and other information for analysis and decision-making purposes.
- Structure and coordinate document creation.
- Give recommendations constructing multiple scenarios and advise where necessary.
- Develop excellent relationships and work with senior government officials and international partners.
- Set the right pace, without risking burnout.
- Establish routines, delegate and intervene appropriately.
- Plan and run large meetings with senior stakeholders, including during exceptional situations.
- Assess international evidence and learn lessons about pragmatic solutions.
- Conduct interviews for Associate and Senior Associate candidates to join team.
- Support the effective onboarding of new team members.
Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in management or strategy consulting.Work experience at a top-tier management consultancy is a great plus.Minimum is a bachelor from a renowned national / international university - masters from an international university is a big plus.A track record of working in Pakistan.Previous experience in the public sector is an advantage.Proven track record of leading a team of consultants and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in managing senior stakeholders (CEOs, ministers, heads of department, donors etc), ability to manage complex stakeholder and donor relationships.Strong strategy and implementation experience, preferably for larger public sector projects.Experience of working at the provincial or national level in Pakistan.Excellent English and ideally Urdu.Superb communication skills, with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing partners.Strong problem-solving skills, including the mastery of a range of advanced techniques, such as flipping problems and premortem.Highly developed interpersonal skills.A strong drive and motivation to help governments help people.A keen interest in social issues and public sector development.Openness to travel, including openness to relocation within Pakistan.What\u2019s in it for you?
