Working closely with the Management team of the Middle East and APAC region, this role involves being the Projects Manager for Sudlows data centre projects within Pakistan. Ensuring successful delivery of Sudlows critical facilities professional services around project management, site QA and testing and commissioning. With a sound knowledge of data centre MEP infrastructure, the candidate will support the growth of the business in the region. Alongside carrying out engineering and consulting a key aspect of the role is pro-active client and contractor engagement. The role of the Project Manager will involve coordinating with the client, site teams and contractors’ teams. You will liaise closely with the project sponsor and technical leads to clarify any site issues as required and work towards delivering a successful solution. Ultimately ensuring successful completion and delivery of the consultancy / data centre project delivery. Key Accountability
Collaborating with other senior management to formulate a strategy. Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement. Able to understand the design of electrical and HVAC systems for data centres. Concurrent maintainability design for electrical & HVAC systems Carry out shop drawing reviews / approvals. Material selection reviews / approvals To review designs for data center MEP systems To review MEP schematics both for build drawings Carry out site surveys To liaise with all contractors / sub-contractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information. To check and approve technical submittals / shop drawings with respect to technical design & end user requirements Study tender / design documents and understand client / customer requirements from the agreed contracts Formulate technical response with assistance and guidance from other departments as required Prepare and participate in the review of technical responses to the highest standards of accuracy, presentation, and punctuality in accordance with company standards and client requirements. Prepare and participate in the review of and in the submission of technical and commercial clarifications and revised documents as required through the project delivery process Maintain a full and accurate record during the project Attend client, supplier, and third-party meetings on and offsite as necessary Work closely with site teams to hand over projects as per schedule Report and communicate activities effectively and appropriately. Analyze programme risks and communicate effectively to clients. Support the business across its full professional services offering (Design, Consultancy, Site Supervision, Testing & Commissioning and Auditing) To liaise with all sub-contractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information. To check and approve material submittals with respect to Technical Design Following on site consultancy, prepare reports, present findings and provide a road map for change (appropriately detailing level of risk and opportunity for improvement) Work together with associate director of the Middle East to take on new opportunities Work closely with other areas of the business and key staff to overcome complex client requirements Manage client key accounts successfully and exceed client expectation and response time to queries and tasks. Candidate Experience and Qualifications
Project management certification is not essential but beneficial 8+Years Project Management experience. 2+ years of data centre infrastructure (Power / cooling) experience Excellent work ethic and proactive individual Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team Good communicator, both in writing, on the telephone and face-to-face with customers Excellent English skills -written and verbal Good numeracy skills Competent in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel Able to prioritize tasks and manage time, to meet tight project deadlines Good technical and proposals and submittals management Good technical review ability Ensure smooth management of the projects Ability to carry out site surveys and develop a concept to schematic designs CAD / Revit proficiency Working knowledge of Uptime Tiers & TIA 942-B – ATD not essential but beneficial Experience with data centre testing and commissioning
