Job Purpose To ensure the effective administration of the hospital kitchen and patient diet services in line with healthcare and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement systems for patient diet evaluation.
Supervise the purchase, supply, and usage of kitchen items to avoid wastage.
Provide and record patient diets as per ward requests and medical instructions.
Supervise cooks and kitchen staff to ensure quality meals.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
Address and resolve daily patient / ward complaints regarding diet.
Keep a proper stock register for daily in / out of kitchen supplies.
Ensure continuous improvement in food quality and service delivery.
Organize and manage patient diet requests as per hospital policy.
Uphold Islamic and medical ethics in all services.
Comply with healthcare quality and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Graduate.
3–5 years of relevant experience (hospital / healthcare setting preferred).
Strong knowledge of kitchen management, hygiene, and dietary practices.
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
