Assistant Manager Electronic

Job Summary :

As an Assistant Manager Electronics, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our terminal equipment's. Your responsibilities includes but are not limited to :

Key Job Responsibilities :

Ensure achievement of equipment KPIs as defined by management.

Communicate safety alerts and manufacturer-highlighted risks clearly to relevant staff.

Supervise and execute all types of maintenance (planned, breakdown, and unscheduled) in an organized and efficient manner.

Adjust maintenance plans as needed—upon superior approval—to meet shift demands and available resources.

Coordinate with the Operations Department on equipment availability and ongoing work.

Keep Operations and superiors updated on maintenance progress and timelines.

Generate and close Job Sheets in IBM Maximo, documenting tasks performed, time spent, and equipment downtime.

Collaborate with external contractors or consultants for urgent or critical repairs, as directed.

Represent DP World in a professional and positive manner, adhering to company values, safety standards, and the Code of Conduct.

Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements :

A completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-300 / 400 / 1500), Siemens Drive Systems, and Electrical Controls is essential.

Practical maintenance experience with heavy equipment, such as Cranes, RTGs, or automotive systems, is highly desirable.

A background in heavy‑industry environments like Cement, Steel, Textile, or Packaging is a strong advantage.

Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.

Skilled in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and computerized maintenance management systems like IBM Maximo.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Must be willing and able to work 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts.
