Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC recognized university with minimum of 09 years of post-qualification experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in a project management role. Candidates having experience of Oil and Gas / Public sector shall be preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the planning and execution of R&D projects and new initiatives from concept through completion.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to define project requirements in order to achieve the required objectives.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet goals.
- Develop and review project tenders, engineering equipment specifications and service level agreements in collaboration with the team and departmental head.
- Initiate procurement of supplies, services, and after-sale support required for the projects.
- Lead the Design & Analyses team on various projects, ensure that the design meets the requirements.
- Develop and review the NCB and ICB bidding documents in compliance with the PPRA and PEC rules and regulations.
- Finalize the procurement mode, strategy and procurement cycle time in consultation with departmental head and Procurement Department.
- Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement within project teams.
- Ensure compliance with project contracts, industry regulations, and standards.
- Report on a regular basis the project status, any challenges being faced, and outcomes to the departmental head.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Develop and maintain project documentation in line with the best practices.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for potential projects.
- Lead the process of identification and development of new technologies and solutions to address business needs.
- As a mentor to develop junior engineers within the project teams.
- Coordinate with the operational department for the implementation of projects.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to support project objectives.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems and processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of engineering standards and specifications.
- Develop and implement training programs for project management methodologies.
- Develop familiarization with PPRA, PEC, API, PSQCA, ISO, ASME, PPRA, AGA, ANSI standards and rules and regulations.
- Identify and assess risks under their management / ownership.
- Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.
- Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
- Perform any other task assigned by senior management.
