Deputy Chief Engineer (Metering)

Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Chemical / Mechatronics / Petroleum / Electronics with at least 06 years of post-qualification experience preferable in Oil and Gas / Public Sector. Candidates having Master’s degree shall have an added advantage. Responsibilities : Manage and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of natural gas flow measuring equipment installed and operated in the region. Ensure that necessary measures are taken for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of the gas flow measurement stations to minimize downtime and ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. Ensure effective utilization of the manpower and material resources to achieve the departmental objectives. Manage and ensure that calibration of metering instruments at Point of Delivery(s), Check Metering Station(s) and Sales Meter Station(s) are being carried out by the team to ensure metering accuracy and reliability. Manage the installation and commissioning of new metering installations and / or upgradation of existing setup in the region. Ensure field activity / maintenance activity reports are duly filled, signed, and submitted by the team and documentation record is maintained. Ensure that Joint Meter Check activity with Distribution department is carried out in timely manner for the gas volume recorded at Sales Metering Stations in the region. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team and coordinate field activities related to the installation, startup, and operation of equipment. Keep close check and perform analysis of the data through remote monitoring system for the identification of problems and ensure that necessary corrective measures are taken in timely manner. Perform any other task as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
