Deputy Chief Engineer (Planning)

Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / Chemical / Mechatronics / Petroleum / Electronics with at least 06 years of post-qualification experience preferable in Oil and Gas / Public Sector. Candidates having Master’s degree shall have an added advantage. Responsibilities :

Carry out the inventory planning activity of equipment and spares after thorough review of the operational requirement of Measurement-Transmission functions. Undertake the entire procurement process for the materials and services to ensure that procurement process is carried out in an efficient and transparent way. Ensure compliance of PPRA rules in all procurement related activities. Ensure that critical spares of the equipment are identified and maintained in stock to avoid any untoward operational situation. Continuously monitor the market developments, technologies, price trends with regards to equipment used in Measurement-Transmission functions and take necessary measures. Provide suggestion for the development of CAPEX & REVEX budget of the department keeping in view the consumption pattern and operational objectives. Maintain close liaison with Procurement department and vendors for the expedite process of the procurement activities. Oversee all matters related to budget arrangement and its utilization. Development of technical specification document for the procurement of equipment, materials etc. Undertake the technical evaluation of the bids as per stipulated evaluation criteria and ensure transparency of the process. Perform any other task as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
