Masters' degree in Supply Chain, logistics, or a related field may be required.
As an Import / Export Manager, you will be responsible for the following :
- Communicate with suppliers to arrange proper documentation on time and get confirmation from the clearing agent for smooth clearing.
- Coordinate with the bank and insurance company to open the CT / LC.
- Document retirement negotiation with the bank.
- Review weekly shipment status report and share with the sales department.
- Update the sales team weekly about upcoming material.
- Provide instructions for the consignment unload to the appropriate warehouse.
- Arrange Electronic Import Form (EIF).
- Manage final costing.
- Direct and supervise import assistant officer’s tasks and ensure that all duties are completed on time.
- Work with management to assess and improve processes and policies.
- Manage LC limit creation / renewal with banks.
- Prepare reports on the performance of your department and suggest improvements to enhance the company’s profit margins.
- Collaborate closely with other senior department heads for the benefit of the company.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the CEO.
