Assistant Manager – Imports

MBA preferably in Supply Chain from an HEC-recognized university with at least 2 years of experience. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent is an added advantage. Experience with PPRA rules and regulations is preferred. Responsibilities :

Job Summary

This position primarily involves planning, supervising, and monitoring procurement activities related to goods, supplies, and equipment containers from international sources. Ensures procurement processes comply with SSGCL procurement policies and PPRA rules and regulations. Job Responsibilities

Assist in implementing procurement policies and procedures, especially for imports. Support the Supervisor in executing procurement plans and schedules in coordination with relevant departments for international procurement. Ensure that ordered goods meet specified requirements; coordinate with authorities for any deviations or amendments. Prepare tender announcements according to SSGCL and PPRA policies. Assist in evaluating bids and ensuring timely submission; prepare evaluation reports for further review. Coordinate contract finalization with suppliers, negotiate terms, and oversee purchase order issuance. Collaborate with the Finance Department on foreign payments and Letters of Credit. Supervise import tracking data and ensure effective use of digitization tools, generating reports for senior management. Obtain shipment statuses and coordinate clearance and delivery processes. Maintain and update supplier databases and import / vendor information. Keep records of bills, Bid Bonds, and Performance Bonds. Ensure proper processing of invoices and assist in budget preparation with the Accounts Department. Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responses to audit observations. Follow risk management frameworks, participate in related activities, and report key risks timely. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
