Job Summary The
Sales and Application Specialist for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and supporting NGS solutions across academic, clinical, and research markets. This dual role combines consultative sales strategies with technical application expertise to ensure customer success, satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
Candidates with a background in
Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biotechnology
are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Sales Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed sales targets for NGS products and solutions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals, research institutions, universities, and diagnostic laboratories.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, meetings, and technical presentations.
Understand customer workflows and recommend relevant NGS solutions tailored to their requirements.
Collaborate with internal marketing and business teams to execute territory plans and promotional campaigns.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in alignment with company policies.
Application Support Responsibilities
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for NGS platforms, reagents, and workflows.
Conduct product demonstrations, hands-on training sessions, and technical seminars / webinars for customers.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to sample preparation, library construction, sequencing, and data interpretation.
Coordinate with global application support and product development teams to escalate and resolve complex technical concerns.
Support customers during system onboarding, validation, and optimization to ensure successful implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics , or a related field.
Minimum
2–5 years
of experience in NGS technologies (sales, applications, or laboratory operations).
Strong understanding of
NGS platforms and applications , including WGS, WES, targeted panels, and RNA-seq.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
