Job Description : Assistant Manager HSE - MMBL

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to assist the Executive Manager – Security & HSE in ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy work environment across MMBL’s Head Office and branch network. This role involves overseeing the placement and functionality of safety equipment in coordination with vendors, facilitating compliance with health and safety regulations, and liaising with government authorities for safety drills and emergency preparedness. Additionally, the incumbent will support branch teams in implementing safety protocols while maintaining strong coordination with CDA, Rescue 1122, and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to enhance the security of MMBL’s premises, particularly in Islamabad. Responsibilities

Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategies & policies to minimize occupational risks, including diseases, injuries, and lost hours, and share progress with management periodically. Oversee the procurement, placement, and maintenance of safety equipment in coordination with vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ISO 45001 & OHSAS 18001 standards. Ensure the safety of contractors, partners, and visitors. Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments for high-risk areas such as working at height, transportation, electrical work, equipment maintenance, fire prevention, and pandemic response. Promote the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety protocols. Organize HSE training, drills, and information sessions to foster a safety culture in collaboration with relevant government health and safety departments. Support branches in executing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Handle crisis situations effectively and work collaboratively with security agencies and regulatory bodies such as law enforcement agencies, CDA, and Rescue 1122 for security and safety measures at Head Office and branches. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to enhance workplace safety awareness and implement risk mitigation strategies. Regularly update and disseminate HSE guidelines to all employees. Assist in incident reporting, risk assessment, and emergency response planning to minimize workplace hazards. Establish a reporting mechanism for accidents and incidents to ensure timely action. Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits, including machinery and tools. Position HSE as a corporate priority, fostering accountability and adherence to best practices. Prepare and submit reports related to security and HSE compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Track follow-up actions on audit findings, incidents, and regulatory requirements for continuous improvement. Qualifications and Requirements

Education : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Experience : 3-5 years in security, safety, or HSE roles, with liaison / coordination experience with government departments, preferably in a financial institution. Certifications (Preferred) : NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards such as OHSAS 18001 & ISO 45001. Experience in risk assessment and hazard identification. Job Location
