CTO / CEO / Product Owner About the Role We’re building a modern intelligence platform that combines cutting-edge retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with a clean, responsive UI. You’ll own end-to-end delivery across a

React

frontend and a

FastAPI

backend on

GCP , collaborating closely with product, design, and research to ship reliable, scalable features fast. What You’ll Do System Development Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack solutions for an AI-powered legal research product. Ship UI with

React + Tailwind

and APIs / services with

FastAPI . Architecture & Integrations Build and evolve backend infrastructure, REST endpoints, and integrations with

vector databases

and

RAG pipelines . Help scale an AI retrieval engine; integrate

open-source and closed-source LLMs

where appropriate. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Improve delivery pipelines and track velocity; proactively remove blockers. Partner with product / design / research on requirements and trade-offs. Maintain clear docs for decisions, endpoints, infra, and deployments. Champion engineering best practices for a software-focused team. Success Looks Like (Deliverables & KPIs) High-quality, maintainable, well-tested code (unit / integration / e2e where relevant). On-time delivery of sprint commitments and milestones. Measurable improvements to performance, stability, and feature throughput. Proactive identification and resolution of technical risks and blockers. Frontend :

React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Vite (or similar), Testing Library / Jest. Backend :

Python 3.x, FastAPI, Pydantic, pytest. Data / Storage :

Postgres (preferred), Redis (caching / queues), object storage (GCS). Quality :

CI / CD, code reviews, observability, feature flags. Must-Haves 5+ years building production web apps with

React

(TypeScript) and

Python

(FastAPI or similar). Strong API design, data modeling, and performance / debugging skills. Experience deploying on

GCP

(or equivalent cloud) with Docker and CI / CD. Hands-on with

vector databases

and

RAG

concepts—or strong adjacent ML / IR experience and eagerness to learn fast. Solid testing discipline and documentation habits. Excellent written / spoken English; comfortable collaborating asynchronously with a remote team. Nice-to-Haves Security-minded development (authN / authZ, OWASP, secrets, PII handling). Observability (structured logging, tracing, metrics) and SLO thinking. Prior work with LLM infra, model evaluation, and prompt / response safety. Startup experience; comfort with rapid iteration and ambiguity. Working Style Remote-first, high-ownership environment. Iterative delivery : small PRs, quick feedback cycles, measurable outcomes.
