• The Division :
• CalcAir is part of the Perseus Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc. Perseus is home to dozens of industry-leading vertical market software companies and has over 30 years of experience building and scaling software businesses. There will be no changes to pricing, software functionality, or customer service personnel in connection with the foregoing.
• The Position :
• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SQA Analyst with actuarial experience to join our research and development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both QA methodologies and actuarial science, ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.The selected individual will work in the Contour Software Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team.
• Key Responsibilities
• Testing & Validation
• Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate functionality and calculations for both DC and DB plans, including eligibility, contributions, allocations, accruals, and compliance testing.
• Analyze plan documents, specifications, and regulatory updates to ensure accurate hn implementation across plan types.
• Perform regression, functional, and user acceptance testing to ensure consistency and accuracy of system behavior.Actuarial Accuracy & Compliance
• Validate defined benefit plan calculations such as funding valuations, service-based accruals, and equivalency testing to ensure actuarial soundness.
• Verify non-discrimination testing logic (e.g., ADP / ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4), top-heavy) for multi-type combo plans
• Authenticate employee- and employer-level outputs, including employer contributions, deduction limits, and individual participant processing.
• Ensure system compliance with IRS, DOL, PBGC, and ERISA regulations across both plan types, including support for government forms (e.g., 5500 series).Project & Change Management
• Lead QA efforts within cross-functional projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables tied to regulatory updates, client feedback, or feature enhancements.
• Coordinate closely with support and development teams to manage and prioritize change implementations—particularly in response to new legislation (e.g., SECURE 2.0).
• Maintain oversight of QA timelines and proactively mitigate risks that could impact release schedules.Collaboration & Documentation
• Serve as a key liaison among development, actuarial, and support teams to clarify requirements and validate outcomes for both DC and DB features.
• Provide software developers with detailed documentation and clear depictions of calculation logic, expected system behavior, and problem descriptions to ensure accurate implementation and efficient issue resolution.
• Document test results, validation methods, and workflow logic to ensure audit readiness and knowledge sharing across teams.Data Review & Integrity
• Conduct rigorous data validation to ensure accurate participant- and plan-level information for use in actuarial calculations, DC allocations, and government filings.
• Support the QA review of data integrations, including payroll and recordkeeping feeds, ensuring clean and consistent data flow across modules.Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 3-7 years of experience working with actuarial calculations and complex compliance rules or retirement plan administration.
• In-depth understanding of both defined benefit and defined contribution plan operations and regulatory frameworks.
