Job Description :
The General Manager - Plant will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of steel bars and billets, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in steel manufacturing and a proven track record in managing large-scale plant operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.Team Management :Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and production staff.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.Production Planning :Collaborate with the planning and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate production scheduling.
Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to align production with market needs.Quality Control :Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the production process.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.Safety and Compliance :Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.Stay informed about environmental regulations and ensure the plant operates within compliance.Financial Management :Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor and control operational expenses.Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Maintenance and Equipment :Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
Ensure that all machinery and equipment are operating at peak efficiency.Plan for capital expenditures and equipment upgrades as needed.Requirements :
20 years of experience or 15+ years of experience with Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical, Metallurgy)Package will be discussed in interview. Competitive Package will be offered.
