Plant Manager

Establish, implement and manage all operation and maintenance aspects of the power plant using total quality management techniques, inclusive of :

• Production planning
• Plant Safety & Environment
• Predictive and preventative maintenance
• Plant personnel (Human Resources)
• Operational Control & reporting
• Inventory control
• Quality assurance
• Technical feedback to Wärtsilä Pakistan Pvt. Ltd.
• Performance appraisal

Responsible for preparing Annual Operating Plan, Capital and Operating Budgets in conjunction with the Contract Manager for the plant.

Identify and actively recruit local or best available manpower to operate and maintain the plant, seeking to form a first class operating group with a minimum turnover of personnel.

Manage the Operations and Maintenance teams.

Take necessary action to attend to and / or report any abnormalities.

Inform the Area Contract Manager of any situation which may endanger the Plant and / or Personnel and / or the fulfilment of production or maintenance plans or any other kind of abnormality / violation / non-adherence of contractual clauses.

Ensure that all standard operating procedures are strictly enforced and that routine inspections and verifications are completed according to procedures.

Supervise and certify all work carried out by subcontractors.

Ensure that tooling and equipment are maintained in good and usable condition.

Ensure that exchange parts are maintained ready for use.

Monitor spare parts consumption and make necessary adjustments in order to optimize inventory.

Implement and monitor the plant safety program and supervise fire drills, emergency procedures, evacuation, and spill containment.

Ensure all maintenance schedules are undertaken.

Interface with owner on commercial, technical, and contractual matters.
