Engineer (Pipeline Construction - Transmission)

July 15, 2024 JOB DETAILS : Qualification & Experience : Engineering graduate from HEC recognized university with at least 2 years of experience. PEC registration is mandatory. Responsibilities : The role of this position is to direct various engineering activities related to the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of distribution pipeline networks. Duties and Responsibilities : Collaborate with site engineers to develop engineering plans, specifications, and designs for distribution pipeline systems in the Sindh and Balouchistan regions. Implement distribution pipeline projects by conducting site surveys, evaluating route options, and participating in the selection of pipeline alignments and construction techniques. Prepare engineering calculations, hydraulic models, and stress analyses to determine optimal pipeline sizes, material selections, and structural requirements for distribution pipeline networks. Work closely with procurement teams to acquire materials, equipment, and services necessary for distribution pipeline projects. Participate in safety assessments and risk analyses of distribution pipeline facilities, contributing to the identification of potential hazards. Assist during construction activities on distribution pipeline projects by monitoring contractor performance, conducting site inspections, and assisting with quality control processes. Provide assistance in obtaining permits, licenses, and approvals from regulatory bodies and local communities for distribution pipeline projects. Troubleshoot to resolve operational challenges, maintenance issues, and emergencies related to distribution pipeline networks. Maintain accurate documentation of engineering drawings, construction records, and project documentation to facilitate project completion. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in distribution pipeline engineering and management, actively participating in training initiatives and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills. Comply with the risk management framework. Participate actively in risk management activities across the organization. Ensure that key risks are identified, reported, recorded, and managed in a timely manner. Receive appropriate training in risk management.
