Responsible for the quality evaluation and reporting of bugs and non-conforming elements of the assigned software projects in a specified time frame.

• Ensure the quality of all kinds of software that are released by Wavetec, pertaining to the respective product division.
• Assign tasks to the respective QA engineers keeping in view the priority of the software as set by the Product Manager.
• Perform Quality Assurance tests using the test automation tools.
• Ensure quality for released and new products.
• Ensure that products are complete in functionality and are in compliance to the SRS / FS.
• Ensure that products are user friendly for the end users.
• Ensure that setup and configuration process of the products are user friendly.
• Ensure that manuals are in accordance to the released product and fully comply to the features, installation and troubleshooting steps as defined in the manuals.
• Ensure that test reports are prepared and are signed by the Product Manager.
• Prepare and implement QA standards to minimize QA cycles.
• Ensure that product training is imparted to operations, sales and technical writer.
• Ensure that releases for the products are made in compliance to the project plan.
• Acquire the understanding of domain knowledge / business logic and prepare functional test cases in coordination with the Product Manager Project Manager.
• Report bugs and enhancement related suggestions and verify them to make them ready for delivery and categorization of bugs according to their significance.
• Verify the projects and patch(es) as received and acquire next iteration date from the Project Manager.
• Verify the issues / operational problems as reported by the client / operations / stakeholders.
• Test deployment package for fresh installation as well as for the upgrades.

Job Specification

Education : Masters in CS

Experience : 2-3 years of QC Lead experience in a similar organization

Fluent in English (written and verbal)
