About the Role
ACS SYNERGY is expanding its Lahore-based delivery center to support a growing portfolio of cross-border finance transformation, reporting, and advisory assignments across the Middle East and the UK. We are hiring a Senior Associate – Financial Reporting & Systems Implementation to strengthen our capability in accounting operations, financial reporting, and implementation of modern cloud-based finance systems.
In this role, you will work closely with senior team members to support month-end reporting, consolidation activities, systems setup, process mapping, and financial controls for international clients. This is a technical and project-oriented position suited for a newly qualified accountant or an advanced-stage ACCA / CIMA student with strong accounting fundamentals and an interest in financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including reconciliations and analysis.
- Support group-level reporting workflows, consolidation processes, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare schedules, lead sheets, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, journals, and supporting files in line with best practices.
- Contribute to budget-to-actual analysis, financial dashboards, and performance reporting.
B. Systems Implementation & Process Improvement
Support configuration, setup, and optimisation of cloud-based accounting and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, SAP B1, or similar).Assist in process mapping, requirements gathering, and documenting workflows for client finance teams.Participate in data migration activities, systems testing, reconciliations, and rollout support.Help develop SOPs, internal controls, and standardised reporting templates.Contribute to internal methodology development for future finance system implementation projects.C. Advisory & Client Support
Support finance transformation initiatives such as simplifying chart of accounts, improving month-end close, and strengthening controls.Liaise with cross-border teams (UAE, Qatar, UK) to provide documentation, updates, and technical assistance.Assist with preparation of reporting packs, process documentation, and client presentations.Provide analytical and operational support on varied accounting and advisory engagements.Candidate Profile
Qualifications
ACCA / ACMA / CIMA Qualified OR finalist (advanced stage).1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, or finance systems.Technical & Professional Skills
Strong understanding of IFRS-based accounting principles and month-end processes.Hands‑on experience with at least one accounting or ERP system (QuickBooks, SAP B1, Xero, Zoho, Oracle NetSuite, etc.).Advanced MS Excel skills—pivots, lookups, reconciliations, and data analysis.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent organisational discipline and the ability to work across multiple assignments.Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate with cross-border teams.Self‑driven, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.What We Offer
