IT Server & Systems Administrator

We are looking for an experienced IT Server & Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring optimal uptime and performance of business-critical systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in Docker-based deployments, server security, and troubleshooting, and can work independently during the night shift.

About This Role

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Docker Compose and multi-container applications

Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis

Experience managing production web applications

Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, firewalls)

Technical Environment

Containerization : Docker, Docker Compose

Applications : Web hosting and internal business applications

Tools : Backup solutions, monitoring systems, remote administration tools

Qualifications / Skillset / Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.

2–3 years of experience in server administration or IT infrastructure

Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration

Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu preferred) command line and system administration

Working knowledge of Docker containers and container management

Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation

Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures

Solid understanding of server security and access management

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows Server and Ubuntu Linux Server environments

Manage Docker containers hosting company websites and internal applications

Deploy, update, and troubleshoot containerized applications with minimal downtime

Perform regular server backups , updates, and monitoring

Troubleshoot server performance issues and resolve incidents efficiently

Implement server security measures and manage access controls

Maintain documentation of configurations, deployment steps, and troubleshooting procedures

Provide technical support for internal teams regarding server-related issues
