Job Description Enhance the reliability and performance of critical rotating and static equipment at RAF Station through the implementation of advanced condition monitoring and predictive maintenance plans, while overseeing the development and application of the latest technologies in condition monitoring
Condition Monitoring System Development and Management
Identify critical rotating and static equipment requiring condition monitoring and establish comprehensive procedures for their implementation.
Create and maintain lists of critical equipment designated for condition-based monitoring.
Research, identify, and implement the latest condition monitoring technologies.
Select and finalize tools necessary for Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance (CM-PDM).
Communicate the application and benefits of new condition monitoring technologies, including Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound Analysis, Oil Analysis, NOX measurements, and GT Enclosure Integrity Testing.
Manage the scheduling of the condition monitoring team for field readings and data collection.
Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Review and report daily on HVAC operational data and defects to management.
Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability based on condition monitoring data.
Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations for maintenance and operational improvements
Leadership and Training
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior condition monitoring technicians and engineers.
Develop and deliver training programs on condition monitoring technologies and best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Oversee routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Ensure that vehicles are always equipped with necessary safety equipment and emergency supplies.
Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities
Team Supervision
Organise and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to assigned team to support their overall development
Budgeting and Financial Performance Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
Continuous Improvement Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction
Reporting Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
Good understanding of power / energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
Demonstrated hands‑on operational and implementation experience.
Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners / advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment
Experience 8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 3 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
