Our client, an oil marketing company, is seeking to hire a Manager Procurement to lead and manage the procurement function, ensuring timely sourcing of goods and services in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational needs, while optimizing cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Responsibilities :
- Strategic sourcing & Procurement Planning : Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals. Forecast procurement needs based on company projects and operational demands.
- Vendor Management : Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors. Maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct regular performance reviews and supplier audits.
- Contract Negotiation & Management : Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors. Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations to resolve disputes.
- Purchase Operations : Oversee procurement process including purchase requisitions, approvals, and order placements. Ensure cost-effective acquisitions and timely delivery.
- Cost Control and Budgeting : Ensure all purchasing activities are within the approved budget and comply with financial controls.
- Policy & Risk Management : Ensure strict compliance with the organizations procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Requirements :
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Supply Chain, or Engineering from a recognized university. Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role, preferably in an OMC.Relevant Certification CIPS / PMP is preferred.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is desirable.Strong analytical and decision making abilities.
