We are looking for Divisional Manager Procurement for our manufacturing industry client based in Karachi.

Job Specification

Education : MBA / BE (Mechanical) & International recognized certification CSCP / CIPS

Experience : 12-15 years of experience in material management, inventory control & SCM

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Create & maintain short & long term procurement plans.
• Identify, evaluate and capitalize on opportunities to reduce purchasing cost by improving the organization’s buying patterns & supply channels.
• Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of sourcing managers / buyers and other professionals to ensure that procurement activities meet established targets and standards.
• Utilize lean techniques and initiatives to create value across the supply chain through material design, optimization and cost reduction.
• Work with colleagues to continually communicate the real-world financial impacts of lead times.
• Acquire & maintain understanding of market price trends & supplier technology roadmaps.
• Ensure procurement is providing customer-oriented service to the business by establishing credibility & relationships.
• Foster a positive, diverse & inclusive culture through education, communication and initiatives.
• Coach the team to achieve maximum potential; develop and coordinate learning and development plans to transfer knowledge and provide career growth.
• Conduct assessments to identify procurement challenges & implement solutions.
• Communicate and apply procurement guidelines across the business & recommend changes to support business needs.
• Analyze data, product reports, monitor KPIs, determine compliance to guide priorities, measure progress & communicate results.
• Engage in strategic negotiation to achieve favorable conditions & strong supplier partnerships.
• Supervise negotiation and implement any resulting framework agreements.
• Ensure compliance with the guidelines & framework agreements.
• Ensure that standards and solutions are rolled out and used.
• Ensure adequate leadership for the development of framework agreements and sourcing actions across the board.
• Ensure that CSR, sustainability and innovation are themes in all activities.
• Seek year-over-year process & efficiency improvement.
• Maintain a high degree of ethics in the purchasing process.
• Report compliance issues, if any, to the management.
