1 Job Description

The IT Head of Department is responsible for overseeing the IT department, ensuring the smooth operation of all technical aspects of Source Code Academia. This includes project management, team coordination, security compliance, technological decision-making, and maintaining the overall integrity of codebases, securing business-critical technical information, driving process modernization, and streamlining operations through strategic use of software and technology. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the IT team consisting of all developers hired in Source Code Academia, providing governance and technical oversight. Oversee software development of Source Code Academia’s website (LMS) and apps, ensuring high-quality and secure coding practices. Serve as the main point of contact for source code management, gathering IT requirements, new feature requests, and addressing customer tech issues. Collaborate across departments to identify areas for technological advancement and support business growth. Assign tasks to developers and track project progress using ClickUp. Set performance targets for the IT department and evaluate KPIs of all developers to ensure continuous improvement and accountability. Ensure all IT operations comply with security and confidentiality policies. Manage Cloud accounts, deployments, server configurations, and database access. Report project updates to Source Code Academia management. Maintain overall codebases and business-critical technical information, ensuring consistency, security, and accessibility. Facilitate knowledge sharing and training within the IT team. Requirements Experience :

Minimum 8+years in IT leadership or senior development roles, with proven experience managing software teams and technical projects Technical Expertise :

Strong command over web and mobile application development, code architecture, and deployment best practices (Laravel, Kotlin, databases, cloud infrastructure) Leadership Skills :

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and evaluate developers; experience in setting team goals and managing KPIs Project Management :

Hands-on experience with task tracking tools like ClickUp or similar platforms; capable of overseeing multiple projects concurrently Version Control :

Proficiency in Git and GitHub workflows including branching strategies and code review processes Security & Compliance :

Deep understanding of security protocols, data privacy, and confidentiality in IT systems Strategic Thinking :

Ability to align IT strategy with business goals, drive innovation, and implement process improvements Soft Skills :
