We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Associate Tax to join our Tax Department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and practical experience in Income Tax, Sales Tax, FBR compliance, PRA filings, and SECP regulatory requirements. The role involves managing tax compliance assignments, preparing statutory filings, assisting in client advisory, and ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (individuals, AOPs, companies) Drafting and filing Wealth Statements and reconciliations Managing tax notices, audits, and responding to FBR queries Preparing withholding tax statements (monthly / annual) and ensuring compliance with Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 Preparing and e-filing monthly Sales Tax Returns for FBR and PRA Handling input / output tax reconciliations and adjustments Managing sales tax registration and de-registration processes Advising clients on sales tax implications and procedural compliance Filing annual and periodic returns through SECP e-services Preparing statutory forms (company incorporation, change in directors, share capital changes) Maintaining compliance with Companies Act, 2017 and related regulations Liaising with clients for gathering documentation and clarifying queries Advising clients on tax planning within legal frameworks Coordinating with government authorities to resolve compliance matters Supervising junior associates in routine tax work Ensuring timely completion of assignments and maintaining compliance calendars Assisting in developing internal checklists, SOPs, and training materials Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, Sales Tax Act, 1990, Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act, 2012, and Companies Act, 2017 Familiarity with tax and regulatory portals (IRIS, PRA, SECP e-services) Working knowledge of relevant SROs, circulars, and tax case law Professional Skills
Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in filings Good command over MS Excel, Word, and accounting / tax software Interpersonal Skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines Client-focused approach with a proactive attitude
