Position Overview
We are looking for Sr. Accounts and Tax Executive to support our Accounts and Tax team in various financial tasks, including :
- Preparing and maintaining financial records
- Assisting in financial statement preparation
- Processing invoices and payroll
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Performing bookkeeping tasks
The Sr. Accounts and Tax Executive will work under the guidance of Senior Accountants or Assistant Managers, playing a critical role in ensuring financial data accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyse financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.Budgeting and Forecasting : Support the budgeting process by preparing financial forecasts and comparing actual results against budgeted figures.Tax Preparation & Compliance : Prepare and file tax returns for various entities and help clients maximize tax‑saving opportunities.Compliance : Maintain compliance with accounting standards and tax laws, collaborate with auditors, and ensure alignment with legal regulations.Process Improvement : Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend enhancements, including system upgrades and streamlined procedures.Taxation : Manage tax‑related tasks including preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring timely payments, and staying updated on tax law changes.Bookkeeping with Xero : Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping for clients in Xero, including managing accounts, reconciling bank statements, tracking cash flow, and producing financial reports.Review & Verification : Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and Activity Statements. Mentor junior accountants, review their work, and offer constructive feedback.Communication : Clearly present financial information to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders, including findings, budgets, and budget variances.Continuous Learning : Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure continued effectiveness.Qualifications And Skills
Education : Masters in finance / accounting or ACCA qualified or CA Finalists.Communication : Proficient written and verbal communication skills, essential for client interactions.Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills, with strong attention to detail.Team Orientation : Ability to work collaboratively, providing guidance and support to junior staff.Experience
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience required.
