About the Role
We are working with a full-funded US startup that is hiring a DevOpsEngineer with strong Kubernetes experience to lead the migration of backend services to a containerized microservices architecture. You'll architect and implement scalable, event-driven systems that power real-time fleet control and analytics, while integrating tightly with their existing cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of backend services (Python AWS stack) to Kubernetes (EKS / GKE / AKS).
- Develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python and AWS services.
- Integrate with Kafka or similar messaging systems for real-time data pipelines.
- Design scalable, event-driven architectures that support real-time robot telemetry and control.
- Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations.
- Build and optimize CI / CD pipelines and IaC configurations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster performance and stability.
Required Skills
Python backend development (3+ years recommended)Trusted experience deploying and migrating to KubernetesFamiliarity with AWS (EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, etc.)Experience with Kafka or similar message queuesExcellent communication anddaily interactions with US-based CTO, engineersMust be available for ~6 hrs of EST overlap each day (9am - 5pm EST)Remote-first mentality with proactive problem-solvingPreferred Qualifications
