Qualifications :
Bachelor's / Master's degree (16 years of education) in Finance, Accounts, or Business Administration from a recognized HEC university with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
OR
ACCA with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
OR
CA / ACMA with at least 4 years of post-membership experience.
Candidates with ACII qualification / certification will be given preference.
Responsibilities :
- Manage overall operations of the Insurance function, including acquiring adequate insurance coverage for all assets.
- Support and guide personnel in the Insurance Section regarding policy renewals and claims handling.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to develop insurance policies and strategies to cover risks and ensure fair claim recovery.
- Review insurance policies regularly to ensure coverage adequacy.
- Seek approval from Senior Management for additional cover conditions or policy terms.
- Oversee the insurance claims process and liaise with surveyors / loss adjusters.
- Manage queries related to claims investigations from insurance companies and surveyors.
- Review insurance claims data before processing.
- Organize accounting and audits of retirement funds and review related financial statements.
- Collaborate with procurement and Legal Departments on insurance policy reviews and proposals.
- Participate in gas purchase negotiations and review related financial aspects.
- Review bid bonds, performance bonds, and guarantees, and arrange refunds upon satisfactory performance.
- Assist user departments with tender processes and ensure compliance with PPRA rules.
- Ensure compliance with withholding tax requirements.
- Advise management on RLNG imports and review financial aspects during negotiations.
- Review financial aspects during union negotiations.
- Handle bank voucher preparations and payments for various expenses.
- Coordinate with departments and gas companies regarding gas purchases.
- Assess inquiries from insurance and other external parties to ensure information adequacy.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties during catastrophic events.
- Identify, assess, and develop response strategies for risks.
- Monitor risks and response strategies.
- Ensure accurate and timely risk reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
