We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager for New Business Development to join our team. This role involves expanding our client base within the public sector, managing bid processes, and responding to ITTs.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the IT consultancy space, particularly with large consultancies and public sector organisations.
Key responsibilities :
Public sector engagement :
Lead business development initiatives within the public sector via Government tender portals to find, qualify, and submit bids.
Bid and proposal management :
Oversee the preparation and submission of bids and proposals for public sector projects, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with client needs.
Market analysis :
Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business expansion.
Performance tracking :
Monitor and report on business development activities, setting KPIs and targets to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
Key skills and qualifications :
Experience :
Minimum of 6-8 years in business development within the IT consultancy sector, with a focus on public sector engagements and experience working with large consultancies.
Industry knowledge :
Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes, including experience with RFPs and bid management.
Relationship building :
Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
Strategic thinking :
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
Communication :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
Education :
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field is preferred.
