Research and development on technological and related skills activity in the country and abroad. Map the state of technological activity in the country, emerging trends worldwide and the implications for national competitiveness. Carry out Technology Gap Analysis of industrial clusters, assess impact on GDP and identify shortcomings in installed technology and the impact on derivative products. Develop and manage technology and skill databases to keep an updated track of technological requirements in various industrial sectors. Assist and support the industrial clusters on technology acquisitions and also provide up-to-date information to local enterprises on sources of technology imports. Prepare project proposals, PC-1s and other documents for funding opportunities based on the conducted research. Job Specification

The candidate should possess a Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics) from a recognized local or foreign university. He / She should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 03 years experience as departmental head. Preference will be given to holders of doctoral / Masters degree, supplemented with management degree from a recognized foreign university. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized, polished presenter and possess top level interpersonal, business management and facilitation skills.
