Shariah Auditor

This role will be responsible for overseeing the accurate balancing of books of accounts, ensuring proper financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of financial records. The individual will lead the computation and distribution of profit and loss to depositors, ensuring timely and precise execution in line with organizational guidelines.

What Shariah Auditor - MMBL does?

• Oversee the accurate balancing of books of accounts, ensuring integrity in financial records and compliance with regulations.
• Lead the computation and distribution of profit and loss to depositors, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Supervise the tagging and movement of financing / investment assets, ensuring proper tracking and alignment with financial goals.
• Manage the creation and oversight of special pools, ensuring effective financial management.
• Supervise the allocation of income and expenses, ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
• Implement Islamic Banking in the systems Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process periodically and give strategic inputs
• Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure efficient execution of tasks as per sharia compliance.
• Streamline processes and optimize workflows to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Address complex financial challenges and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Take on any additional official assignments as directed by management, ensuring they align with the company’s goals.
• Assume overall responsibility for annual financial audit and ensuring the best outcome and rating for the bank.
• Oversees the preparation of and monitor company's various cash flows and forecast. Review interbank account reconciliations and ensure all reconciliations are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Monthly profit distribution statement & timely execution.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Shariah Auditor - MMBL?

CA / CA finalist / ACCA / Masters with degree / certification in Islamic banking preferred Minimum 7-9 years of experience in Islamic banking and finance.
