Principal Software Engineer

IT cottage is a fast-growing and leading technology in the fitness and wellness industry. We are seeking a Principle Software Engineer to be part of their software team and work on a permanent basis. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will ideally have 5+ years of professional working experience across the following areas : 8 years of software development experience using .Net core, ASP.Net MVC, C#, and Web API 2.0. Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, MS SQL Reporting, and TSQL.

• Experience in JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, Web API, LINQ, ADO.Net, Swagger, Azure services, Power Shell, and Windows services is desirable as well.
• Working experience with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core.
• Prior experience in Angular would be a plus. Familiar with Visual Studio, GitLab, and online / offline development environments. Good knowledge of database design and usage – both relational and non-relational databases. Aptitude to quickly adapt and the desire to learn, to match the varied and constantly evolving nature of our work. Strong decision-making skills, capable of making informed decisions with due care and consideration. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, for effective collaboration with clients and team members. Knowledge of CI / CD Responsibilities :

Software development using Microsoft Visual Studio and C# .NET and maintain code base in GitLab. Meet with stakeholders and end users if required to gather data and application development requirements. Build and maintain data dictionaries and application documentation. Responsible for the quality of development, testing, and debugging of applications. Maintain and develop WEB APIs. Maintain standardized syntax, naming, and documentation methodologies. Document and ensure compliance with data and application business rules. Writing Unit Tests Identifying areas of improvement in the application Exciting Benefits we offer :
