Description

Summary

The Utilities Project Coordinator is responsible for managing solar projects through the utility application process to successfully move the project into the construction phase in a satisfactory manner for all parties. Internal and external relationship management is critical to solve problems and successfully manage multiple projects at any given time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage / Lead intake meetings from Land Sales to utilities.
  • Perform basic due diligence on the project documents.
  • Use available resources to begin the utility application process and document / track the project per the established procedure.
  • Submit project applications to the utility.
  • Administer and update the NES databases for all utility companies and projects and facilitate project specific data management.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing dialogue between internal stakeholders to ensure clear and timely communication of project status.
  • Act as a liaison between other departments to control accountabilities and deliverables.
  • Follow up with the Utility companies when required.
  • Monitor and communicate deadlines for utility applications.
  • Understand the scope of work and schedule field work for assigned tasks.
  • Upload and track utility documents for applications.
  • Submit all critical project specific compliance documents to utilities, REC registries, and other administrative or quasi-administrative bodies.
  • Provide support to Utility Project Manager, Senior Project Coordinator, and NES (Novel Energy Solutions) teams as needed.
  • Assess project utility costs to assist finance department for budgeting.
  • Revise and improve project process related documents and training materials.
  • Create and follow up on Purchase Orders for any project specific payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Requirements

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.?

    This is a full-time position and may require longer hours and frequent weekend work.

    Travel is not required.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of business office experience, with general knowledge of business processes
  • Basic business information and research skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, organization and planning, prioritization, and follow up skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and Adobe Pro
  • Operate online applications in various platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in customer service and email correspondence
