What is Expert HLR & VAS Operations?
We are seeking a talented and proactive Expert HLR & VAS Operations to join our dynamic team. In this intermediate-level role, you will be instrumental in bridging traditional network operations with cutting‑edge digital and AI‑driven solutions, contributing directly to our network’s efficiency, reliability, and future‑readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day Operation & Maintenance of HLR & VAS Network, including HLR, HSS, SMSC, Smart Care / CEM, and other Value‑Added Services platforms.Customer complaints handling (corporate & commercial).Configuration management, troubleshooting, and incident management for HLR & VAS.Interaction with internal and external stakeholders and vendor support teams for ongoing issues, projects, and upgrades.Proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal service delivery and availability.Identify opportunities to automate routine operational tasks with scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) and automation tools.Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of AI / ML models used for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or traffic optimization within the HLR & VAS domains.Extract and analyze operational data (using SQL / Oracle or similar tools) to generate insights for performance improvements, capacity planning, and digitalization initiatives.Prepare comprehensive reports on network health, performance, and the impact of digital initiatives.Take ownership of incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate effective resolution and Root Cause Analysis with internal teams and external vendors.Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes by proposing and implementing digital tools and methodologies.Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation for network configurations, operational procedures, and digital solution implementations.Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Network Planning, IT, Product Development, and Customer Support to ensure seamless service delivery.Stay abreast of the latest advancements in HLR / VAS technologies, digitalization trends, AI / ML applications in telecom, and relevant industry best practices.Qualifications
Proven experience in VAS & HLR Operations with hands‑on knowledge of SMSC, anti‑spam, firewalls (Huawei, ZTE, Nokia HLR / HSS). Experience with configuration and troubleshooting is mandatory.In‑depth knowledge of GSM & Messaging Call Flows, IP Protocols, and Signalling.Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to promote the department and technology portfolio professionally, with maturity and a balanced viewpoint.Strong soft skills : drive for results, excellent presentation abilities, and a team‑player attitude.Practical experience in process automation / simplification, including scripting with Python, Perl, or JavaScript.Proficiency in SQL / Oracle for data extraction and query writing, with familiarity in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Basic understanding of AI / ML concepts, particularly their application in network operations (e.g., predictive analytics, anomaly detection).Familiarity with modern network concepts such as cloud platforms and virtualization.Why Join Jazz?
