We are looking for experienced Level 1 / Level 2 support engineers with a profound knowledge of Linux and Windows. You are required to provide technical & customer support to our clients worldwide.
You must have had extensive experience in technical support in this field and strong English communication skills.
Job Specification
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage support system, live chat, phone calls, support tickets / emails.
- Provide Linux server administration and technical support operations, including implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, security, and usage monitoring.
- Administer and maintain web hosting services and servers to support business operations and end users.
- Implement server hardening, scanning, and removal of backdoors, malware, and viruses; perform website analysis, performance, security, and monitoring.
- Possess knowledge of web application firewalls and website security technologies, and server and website performance tuning.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of hosting control panels like cPanel, WHM, Plesk, etc.
- Sound knowledge of Linux servers and WHMCS, as well as other ticket management systems.
- Proficient in working with the Linux command line.
- Familiarity with shell scripting.
- Knowledge of web technologies, platforms, applications, search engines, DNS / bind, email, web servers, monitoring / NMS, clustering, rDNS, and email clients like Outlook / Thunderbird.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Xen, XenServer, VMware, and Hyper-V.
- Capable of managing customer VPS and dedicated servers and troubleshooting reported issues.
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in the web hosting industry and Linux server administration.
- Strong team player with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems; Linux knowledge is mandatory.
- Able to maintain databases and server backups.
- Provide excellent results and services for assigned tasks.
- Work independently.
- Report to Team Lead / Manager.
- Follow up on customer issues via Helpdesk and provide necessary support.
