Software Planning Manager / Team Lead Software Development

This position is for Lahore office of a U.S.A based company)

This position envisions product development and manages projects through completion. Analyzes, designs, and develops software enhancements and new modules. Manages development projects from initial design through testing while providing strategic management direction.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following :

Exercises independent judgment and discretion in overall Software Project Management.

Prioritizes plans and tracks project progress. Provides status reporting to the Development Manager.

Designs, develops, and modifies programs, including prototypes. Researches product development options and provides analysis for product direction.

Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and includes them into project objectives. Provides support regarding product development to internal departments.

Manages and directs 10 to 12 software developers. Evaluates employee performance, sets expectations and goals for department and individual staff members, disciplines and trains staff.

Creates related documentation.

Job Specification

Strong background in .Net, ASP / JSP, XML, XST, Java / J2EE, RDBMs (SQL , Oracle 8i, MySQL)

Development and / or implementation experience in Web Content Management Systems will be a plus (like Microsoft SharePoint, etc)

Project management / project lifecycle / project methodology skills required.

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
