Riphah International University is seeking an experienced Manager of Governance IT to lead the organization's IT governance framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position involves strategic development of IT strategies, risk management, and the implementation of security policies that protect university data and systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in IT Governance or IT Compliance, and will manage a dedicated team of 5 professionals. This role is crucial for fostering a culture of accountability and compliance within the university's IT operations, making it essential for applicants to possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of IT governance best practices. Responsibilities
Develop and implement IT governance frameworks to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Lead and mentor a team of 5 professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on IT governance and compliance. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security policies and data privacy regulations. Collaborate with other departments to integrate IT governance processes across the organization, ensuring a unified approach. Oversee the implementation and management of risk management software and compliance management software to enhance governance capabilities. Design and deliver training programs for staff on IT governance principles, risk management practices, and compliance requirements. Assess and review existing IT strategies and policies, recommending updates and improvements to meet evolving compliance and security trends. Engage with stakeholders to provide guidance on IT governance issues, ensuring all initiatives are in line with the university's mission and objectives. Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation to ensure the university's IT governance frameworks remain current and effective. Prepare regular reports for senior management highlighting compliance status, risk assessments, and governance activities. Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in IT Governance or IT Compliance. Experience managing a team of 5 professionals. Strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of IT governance best practices. Ability to lead IT governance initiatives and contribute to risk management and compliance efforts.
