Lead Wordpress Developer + SEO & Analytics (Remote)

Job Description :

As our lead technical operator, you’ll take ownership of all things web. From WordPress builds and plugin management to Looker dashboards and SEO setup, you’ll be the person who turns strategy into execution. This is a hands-on role for a creative, self-driven pro who doesn’t need hand-holding.

This is a long-term position with potential for growth into a leadership role as we scale.

Responsibilities :

• Build and manage custom WordPress websites (Elementor or Block Editor)
• Set up themes, plugins, and custom features per project
• Optimize Core Web Vitals and site speed for all builds
• Manage plugin stack : security, SEO, forms, backups, optimization
• Perform complete on-page SEO (titles, internal linking, schema, image optimization, etc.)
• Set up GA4, Google Search Console, Meta Pixel, and Tag Manager
• Build clean, functional Looker Studio dashboards for client performance tracking
• Use Bloom to update project tasks and delivery status
• Communicate daily via Google Chat
• Log hours and availability via Homebase
• Work independently and creatively with minimal input when needed

Future Opportunities

You’ll be the first hire in our technical team. As the agency grows, you may help onboard and guide junior developers or contractors. While this is not a management role today, your expertise will help us build the team around you.

Who You’ll Work With

Direct report to the agency owner (Texas, USA)

Occasional collaboration with freelance writers, designers, or junior devs

All projects tracked through Bloom, with communications via Google Chat and scheduling through Homebase
