Virtual Education Program Content Creator

Candidates applying for the position of Virtual Education Program (VEP) content creator will be at the forefront of a revolutionary program which aims to bring technology into public schools, as well as schools in underprivileged areas, to enhance student learning.

To this end, Orenda and Cover, two partner organizations, are creating a virtual curriculum.

The details of the virtual curriculum are as follows :

i) The aim of the virtual curriculum is to carry the student from a stage of illiteracy to basic numeracy and literacy skills.

ii) The virtual curriculum is a video-based version of the government of Pakistan curriculum for Kindergarten (KG) through 3rd grade.

iii) The subjects covered are Urdu, English, and Math.

iv) The videos are complemented by teacher guides, intended for use by the teacher present in the classrooms where the virtual lessons are being aired. This means that the VEP is a ‘blended learning’ teaching format, where out videos will be utilized with some in class instruction, in order to maximise learning outputs

Job Specification

The Content Creator is tasked with the following :

i) Work together with a recruiter to design the instructional videos.

ii) Design teacher guides to inform the teacher of his / her roles and responsibilities after the screening of the virtual lesson.

iii) Maintain a steady output of videos per week, to keep pace with the academic terms at schools.

iv) Lead a team of volunteer contributors, who will provide ideas to content creator to create more interesting / engaging videos.
