Position Summary PrimeHR is seeking a skilled FBB-IP Engineer to join a leading telecom organization in Islamabad. This role is critical for ensuring the stability and performance of advanced IP networks that power high-speed broadband services.

Detailed Job Description As an FBB-IP Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining complex IP networks. You will work on cutting-edge technologies like MPLS, Layer-2 / Layer-3 VPNs, and QoS to deliver seamless connectivity for millions of users. This position offers exposure to high-impact projects, collaboration with industry experts, and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced telecom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and troubleshoot TCP / IP protocols and OSI model-based networking.

Configure and maintain Ethernet, Layer-2 Switching, and VLAN setups.

Implement and support MPLS L3VPN, VPLS, VLL / CCC L2VPN, MPLS TE, Multicast, and QoS.

Utilize SNMP and network monitoring tools for performance optimization and issue resolution.

Perform configuration, debugging, and maintenance for routers, switches, and core IP resources.

Ensure network stability, reliability, and optimized performance across all layers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in Telecom or Service Provider Network Operations.

Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, and switching principles.

Hands‑on experience with telecom hardware and network diagnostic tools.

Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical problem‑solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting for network tasks).

Familiarity with IPv6 deployment and migration strategies.

Knowledge of SDN / NFV concepts and implementations.

Exposure to carrier‑grade network security practices.
