Senior Electronic Data Interchange Analyst Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior EDI Analyst to manage and optimize our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, maintenance, and support of EDI solutions to ensure seamless communication between internal systems and external partners. The Senior EDI Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including business units, IT, and third-party vendors, to ensure accurate data exchange and troubleshooting of any integration issues.
Key Responsibilities
EDI Implementation & Support : Oversee the implementation, configuration, and support of EDI solutions for business processes. Ensure smooth data exchanges with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Troubleshooting : Provide technical support for EDI-related issues, analyzing logs and data to resolve errors and ensure timely processing of documents.
EDI Integration : Collaborate with business units to integrate EDI processes into ERP systems and ensure efficient data flow between systems.
Data Quality & Compliance : Ensure EDI transactions are compliant with industry standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and follow best practices to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Vendor Management : Communicate with third-party EDI vendors to address issues and manage upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Process Optimization : Continuously monitor and improve the EDI processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and support the company's evolving needs.
Documentation & Reporting : Create and maintain detailed documentation for EDI processes and procedures. Provide reports on EDI performance and issue resolutions to senior management.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with IT, operations, and other business units to ensure proper communication and alignment of EDI processes with business requirements.
Qualifications
Education
– Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on experience in EDI analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, ANSI, etc.).
Familiarity with integration tools is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in EDI translation tools and protocols.
Strong understanding of data formats and structures used in EDI, XML.
Working knowledge of ERP systems.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Detail‑oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience in logistics EDI billing.
Knowledge of cloud‑based EDI solutions and integration platforms.
Working Conditions
Full‑time remote position (EST Time zone).
