5+ years Primary Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable infrastructure on AWS while ensuring security best practices and cost optimization. This includes managing VPCs, load balancers, and implementing auto-scaling strategies. Lead container orchestration efforts using Docker and Docker Swarm, including creating optimized Dockerfiles, managing container networking, and implementing service discovery solutions for microservices architecture. Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines primarily using GitHub Actions, focusing on automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies for TypeScript-based applications. Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, while implementing logging solutions and establishing alerting thresholds. Technical Requirements : Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and IAM, with demonstrated ability to architect cloud-native solutions. Extensive knowledge of Docker and Docker Swarm, including experience with multi-container applications, volume management, and container networking. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage AWS resources and maintain configuration consistency. Experience with Node.js ecosystem and TypeScript applications, including understanding of build processes and optimization for React and NestJS applications. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements Experience with database administration and optimization Familiarity with WebSocket deployments and real-time application infrastructure Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities with experience in incident response and troubleshooting production issues Excellent communication skills to collaborate with development teams and stakeholders Proactive approach to system improvements and technical debt management Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation Infra : Docker, Docker Swarm, GitHub Actions, AWS Data & Observability : Mongo Aggregations, ClickHouse, Custom Analytics, OpenTelemetry, Grafana LGTM Stack Extendly’s Engineering Culture (Our Principles in Action)
