Job Description
Claim Informatics is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Native application environments. This role is critical to ensuring that our healthcare analytics and claims processing platforms are highly available, secure, scalable, and compliant. You will collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, QA, and architects to design, automate, and optimize CI / CD pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud operations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS-native services (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS / Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFormation / Terraform, etc.), understands healthcare data compliance (HIPAA, PHI, SOC2), and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud-native infrastructures supporting Claim Informatics’ healthcare analytics platform.
- Build and optimize CI / CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments across multiple environments.
- Manage Kubernetes / EKS clusters, containerized workloads, and service mesh configurations.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform / CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Ensure scalability, availability, and cost optimization of AWS environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / EFK, or similar.
- Champion security-first DevOps practices, including secrets management, IAM policy enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation (HIPAA / SOC2).
- Collaborate with application developers and data engineers to streamline data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
- Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to defining DevOps best practices and standards.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles.5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services in production environments.Strong expertise in :Containerization & Orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
CI / CD tools : Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.IaC : Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.Networking & Security : VPC, IAM, Security Groups, Secrets Manager, WAF.Proficiency with Python, Bash, or Go for scripting and automation.Experience with monitoring & logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).Strong background in cloud-native application patterns (microservices, serverless, event-driven architectures).Knowledge of data security & compliance requirements (HIPAA, PHI, SOC2) in healthcare / insurance contexts.Excellent communication skills and ability to work across distributed global teams.Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting healthcare, insurance, or claims data platforms.Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework.Exposure to data lake / analytics solutions (Glue, Athena, Redshift, Snowflake).Background in cost governance & FinOps practices.Previous experience mentoring or leading DevOps teams.Benefits
