About the Agency The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) is a new agency that works to ensure people live in safe environments from natural disasters, enhances disaster preparedness and response, and provides access to social and financial services for better opportunities and quality of life. It merges activities from the Aga Khan Planning and Building Services, FOCUS (disaster mitigation and response), the AKDN’s Disaster Risk Management Initiative, and environment- and habitat-related activities of the Aga Khan Foundation.
