Box Analyst (Architect of Secure Collaboration) Purpose
The Box Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for our enterprise Box content management and collaboration environment. This role ensures the platform is secure, optimized, and seamlessly enables productivity across the organization. Acting as the bridge between technical functionality and user needs, the Box Analyst will drive adoption, strengthen governance, and integrate Box into core business workflows while ensuring compliance and security standards are met. Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage the enterprise Box environment, including configurations, user accounts, groups, and folder structures. Develop, implement, and enforce governance policies, security protocols, and best practices. Oversee user access permissions, security settings, and retention policies in alignment with compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). Monitor platform usage, performance, and capacity; proactively resolve issues to maintain a 99.9% uptime SLA. Act as Tier 2 / 3 support for complex user issues related to access, synchronization, and integrations. Develop and deliver training, documentation, and workshops to increase adoption and reduce support dependency. Partner with departmental leaders to tailor Box configurations to business needs. Configure and maintain integrations between Box and enterprise systems (e.g., Office 365, Salesforce, Okta, Slack). Leverage Box Relay and automation scripts to streamline workflows and lifecycle processes. Evaluate and recommend new Box features and integrations to improve productivity. Conduct audits and access reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external policies. Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies; collaborate with InfoSec on security initiatives. Lead incident response efforts for data security or privacy issues within the Box environment. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
2+ years of experience as a Box Administrator, Box Analyst, or in enterprise content management (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive). Proficiency with Box Admin Console, user / group / security management. Strong understanding of cloud security principles, permissions, and compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Box Certified Administrator certification (preferred). Experience with Box Shield, Box Relay, and Box APIs (preferred). Familiarity with identity management systems (e.g., Okta, Azure AD) (preferred). Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation and reporting (preferred). Background in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or legal (preferred). Culture of Belonging
