Engineering Manager, Machine Learning, Perception at Motive. Lead a high-impact team of 6-8 AI engineers and research scientists, directing the development of Motive's road and driver safety perception technology. Transform cutting-edge AI research into robust, production-ready features and guide the lifecycle from concept to in-field deployment and ongoing optimization. What You’ll Do :

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 6-8 AI engineers and scientists, fostering a collaborative, focused, and high-performing environment. Coach and grow individual contributors, manage performance, and support technical improvement and career development. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and shared responsibility. Engage in roadmap planning, technical decision-making, and provide expert guidance for the development of AI / ADAS-like features. Drive design, development, and deployment of robust AI models for functions such as lane keeping, collision warning, and trajectory prediction. Oversee the product lifecycle from research to in-field deployment, ensuring features meet quality, performance, and reliability standards in production. Stay at the forefront of AI, machine learning, computer vision, and ADAS technologies, and integrate relevant advancements into the product strategy. Develop, enforce, and continuously improve engineering processes and best practices across the team. Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Hardware, etc.), influencing product strategy, technical architecture decisions, and process-related choices. What We’re Looking For :

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related quantitative field. Ph.D. is a plus. 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and / or machine learning, with deep understanding of training and deploying ML models. 2+ years of recent engineering management experience leading an AI / ML-focused team of 6+ engineers. Proven track record of launching and operating Computer Vision or Machine Learning applications at scale. Deep understanding of building and maintaining large-scale ML products with high reliability and performance in the field. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to recruit, hire, coach, and grow engineering talent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in ADAS or Autonomous Driving is a strong plus. Bonus Points :

Experience with sensor fusion (camera, radar, lidar). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for MLOps and model deployment. Familiarity with real-time embedded systems or automotive-grade software development.
