Job Overview

The position of Senior Data Scientist at PSW offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the Information Technology (IT) industry.

This is a regular job category with a mid-senior level requirement, demanding a minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and related fields.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, your role will involve a mix of technical expertise and strategic input. Your primary responsibilities include :

Data Science and Analytics

1. Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

2. Develop and implement data science solutions using statistical and machine learning techniques.

3. Perform advanced data analysis to create predictive and prescriptive models.

4. Evaluate the performance of deployed data science solutions.

Data Preparation and Integration

1. Explore and preprocess data to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.

2. Perform ETL / ELT tasks, with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) experience being a plus.

3. Handle data integration, modeling, troubleshooting, and mining tasks.

Machine Learning and NLP

1. Develop and deploy machine learning models into production.

2. Work with ML / DL frameworks like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.

3. Solve NLP problems such as text summarization, question-answer generation, and topic modeling.

4. Use state-of-the-art NLP architectures like BERT, GPT-3 / GPT-4, and vector space models.

Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing

1. Mentor junior data scientists and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

2. Promote the use of data science and advanced analytics across the organization.

Tools and Technologies

1. Expertise in SQL queries, Python programming, and statistical techniques (e.g., regression, distributions).

2. Experience with Model Serving APIs (Django, Flask, Streamlit) is advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements :

1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred).

2. Experience : Minimum of 3 years in data science, with proven experience in ETL / ELT processes and Oracle Data Integrator.

3. Skills : Strong command of statistical techniques, machine learning, NLP, and data visualization tools.

Additional qualifications such as certifications in relevant domains, research and development experience, and peer-reviewed publications will be considered a plus.
