About the job

We are looking for a Product Designer who is more than “just a designer.” - Meaning that you will need to fundamentally understand apps, their features and interaction flows. You will occasionally discuss this with clients and provide your recommendations based on common design patterns.

This job is fully remote and the hours are flexible. You need to attend occasional meetings in USA time zones. We will begin with a contractual offer with the possibility of extending to full-time.

Job Specification

Requirements

Excellent English proficiency
Access to smartphone and laptop
Ability to join client calls or watch recordings and design based on what was discussed
At least 3 years of experience in app UI / UX design
Strong understanding of how apps work and flow from screen to screen
Ability to translate client feature requests into wireframes and clickable flows
Ability to complete the design of existing apps based on existing design systems and partial designs
Ability to motivate design choices

Your job will include

Drawing wireframes of compelte app flows from client requirements before final designs are made

Testing apps before they are released as the final line of defence

Submitting bug reports

Understanding the full scope of the app and advising the team on it

Completing apps based on existing design frameworks and styles

Understanding app UX / UI principles and flows, not just visuals

Collaborating with developers and project managers to ensure app usability

Using Trello for project tasks and updates
