QA Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES : The QA Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and implementing quality assurance practices and procedures as well as test plans and other Quality Assurance assessments. The role holder is also responsible for collaboratively working with development teams during all stages of projects to provide in-process testing results. Testing and Quality Assurance Engineering Write and help others write test cases Perform acceptance tests of user stories on a day-to-day basis Carry out exploratory testing within an agile development environment Perform end-to-end tests in relation to larger releases with external stakeholders Drive the squad’s test strategy and test efforts, e.g., taking the initiative to automate where possible and coaching others Participate in scrum ceremonies and actively undertake sprint tasks – these include : Supporting the development of test plans Creation of tests – both manual and automated Reviewing of stories, code, and tests Execution of tests at all stages of the lifecycle Processes and Procedures Own the process during test periods where functionality is tested across several squads and departments Be an active participant in grooming and planning, to ensure that acceptance criteria are testable Collaboration and Support Sit together with designers, SMEs, and Product Owner while user stories are developed, bringing input and helping with the testing angle Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and support engineers to correctly identify priorities and resolve issues SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED : Experience with writing and automating test cases QA work across Ecommerce platforms and mobile applications Comfortable in handling multiple projects simultaneously Have sound knowledge of Java / Python / Golang / Node JS Cypress or any other Web JavaScript-based automation tool Good understanding of mobile automation tools like XCUITest / Espresso / Detox / Appium Have sound knowledge of API automation tools like RESTAssured / Pytest / UniRest Good understanding of performance and load testing tools like Locust, Gatling, K6 Experience in CI / CD tools like Jenkins / CircleCI / Azure pipeline / Bitrise Solid knowledge of web and app-based testing and architecture Aware of load testing and security testing concepts Basics of Linux, shell scripting, and databases Aligned to working with agile best practices Good Infrastructure knowledge in AWS / GCP / AZURE FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Proficiency in English with strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization Solid understanding of quality assurance and testing processes within an Agile environment Deep knowledge of testing concepts, processes, and activities Excellent problem-solving, planning, analytical, and documentation skills Strong team player and must be able to participate in Release deployments to production Passion about and ability to deliver high-quality features and end-to-end scenarios Reporting and tracking bugs MINIMUM QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software design, management information systems engineering, or a related field and / or relevant direct job experience. EXPERIENCE : 3-5 years of experience in QA of ECOM / Magento / Salesforce
