• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with international Financial Reporting standards, Companies Ordinance 1984, and other statutory laws as applicable in the country.
• Ensure correct accounting of all transactions enabling true & fair recording and presentation.
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Check and verify purchases & journal vouchers besides bank receipts & payments.
• Prepare financial management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely quarterly and annual period close.
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures and other company policies & procedures specifically related to the department.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities besides supervision of funds / cash flow forecast (daily & monthly) reporting procedures that aid in making investment decisions.
• Monitor and support taxation issues (e.g., monthly, quarterly & annual return of income tax & sales tax).
• Coordinate with internal & external auditors including the review and resolution of observations highlighted in the auditor's reports.
• Coordinate with banks & other financial institutions for arrangement of finances including running finance, long-term & short-term debts & lease financing besides complete recording of transactions in books of accounting as per applicable standards & regulations.
• Monitor & review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and supervise daily routine tasks of staff.
• Monitor and review various reports to banks & other stakeholders.
• Any duty assigned by management / HOD as & when required.
